In the 1980s he recorded the NIV translation of the Bible for Zondervan Publishing

Voice only NIV New Testament

The message on these CD's is very clearly spoken with an introduction in a different voice to each book before it is read. I found it good listening to Paul's letters being read all the way through. There was a sense that Paul was reading to them to me.

Listen, Imagine, and Walk with Jesus !

As I listen to this NIV Bible New Testement on CD, I can feel the presence of Jesus,as His story unfolds and I listen to the words of His world from the BEGINNING. I will now look forward to owning the complete 64 disc set. Charles Taylor's distinctive voice completes the joy of this amazing work.

The narrator was easy to listen to and well-paced. I bought it for a friend over 90 years of age, whose eyes are no longer able to read print, and he enjoys listening.

Preachers can create any religion you want by selectively choosing verses from the Bible, and when I read the Bible my existing opinion (created by the preacher) precludes me from comprehending what I have just read. Rom 10:17 So then, faith commeth by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Col 4:16 And when this letter has been read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you also read the letter from Laodicea.

Good Choice

I bought the audio bibles for my two daughters and my two sisters - they all loved it! I have read the King James Version all my life but my daughters and sisters needed the NIV and after listening to this bible online I knew it was a good choice for them - I highly recommend this one!
