I like the ESV. I have been a NKJV and NASB guy from the beginning of my walk with Jesus. Since I'm a missionary/evangelist, accuracy of the Word is important. When I just want to soak in the Word, this works. Mr. Johnston's voice is big and dramatic. It's a bit much at times, but that's OK. Enjoy!

Highly recommend. Just love the ESV. Looking forward to enjoying this for a long time. Just wish I could select not only chapters, but verses too. That would really be great.

Pleasant listening experience

For years we have enjoyed hearing Alexander Scourby read the KJV. But it is time for us to move to a more modern translation. Stephen Johnston does a wonderful job of reading the ESV text in a dignified manner. I hesitate to say that he is better than Scourby, but he's at least as good!
