Words are at a steady volume, not loud then quiet--you can hear everything even with background noise. A very good translation--easy to understand. But the narrator doesn't bring any enthusiasm to the work; we miss Alexander Scourby--his readings were alive. Not 5 stars, but I'd buy it again.

I like this audio Bible and I am, overall, glad I bought it. But I was disappointed by the way certain chapters were cut off before they were completed. Ezekiel 48 was cut off after only a few verses, and I had to listen to the rest using another audio version of the ESV. Good but not great.

I found his rendition too fast-paced, not allowing me ANY time to reflect even for a second on the content. Also, his emphasis on certain words didn't seem natural to me, not at all like most people would do. I returned it for slower paced version.
